Bedroom fantasies (Rated G, mostly, honest!)

I have been trying in earnest to be a good mother (HA!) and include the child in many of the interior design decisions.  As much of a frilly-frou-frou-yet-tomboy girl that she is, she has flatly said “NO!  What are you some kind of freak???” to many of my girlie design suggestions.  (ie:  feathers - some people just have NO imagination! sheesh!!)

*ahem*

I admit, I adore my livingroom to an unhealthy degree, so the child may have had a point or two, here and there.  (dammit)  So, while previously I had planned on a zen/organic spin in my bedroom I am instead choosing to say “NEENER NEENER NEENER YOU SILLY CHILD!! I am going to go Over The TOP in my girlie nonsense design ideas!”

I WANT GLAMOUR!  (Feigned glamour in my boudoir is better than none, right?  And I want glamoUr with a “U” because it’s just so much more…. glamorous!)

Imagine if you will… monochrome…  drapes, duvet, shams, wall color.  In satiny, sateeny, shiny, sparkly fabulousness.  To go with the blues and grays elsewhere in my abode… how about something along the line of a blue/gray color?  Add to it some crystally, mirrory, silvery sparkly fabulousness…

See where I’m going with this?  Ooooh yeah, I think you do!

And at least this way I can blame my bedroom for being Man Repellant!
