Chaos and coffee tables

April 1, 2008

Apologies for the lack of pictures of late, but you need a GPS and a rope harness to navigate my apartment at the moment!  Painting with two sets of furniture in the livingroom has proved dangerous!  Well, I’m guessing it’s dangerous so I have barely begun to try  😉  When I get down about it all, I lovingly caress the walls of the hall and the kitchen and admire how spanking they’ve turned out  🙂

BUT…  my landlords appear to be on an extended trip (how fortuitous!) so tomorrow’s garbage night will be an orgy of purging!  YAY!!  I will finally be able to clear out the “back porch” and put my washer back out there, permanently!  All professional-like!  That alone will make a gigantic difference.

After a disappointing run on Flake’s List I have decided to repurpose two of my couch cushions in to a lovely padded headboard (do you know how much foam costs??  I am totally in the wrong field of work here!), so the rest of it is going in la basura.  Two of four floating shelves in my livingroom will also become a headboard.  I am thinking the third may very well become a footboard, and the fourth may become my dressing table in my bedroom.  A cantilevered shelf would reduce tripping accidents walking in to my bedroom…  crashing and burning upon entry in my budoir is not the sexytimes I’m aspiring to!

Right now I am thinking I will paint my tv stand – so the last remaining piece is a new coffee table.  My sister-in-law has envied mine since its Ikea debut, so she’s going to pitch in for a new one and take mine.  It’s fabulous, but just too big   😦

For the sake of space and lightness and utter girlie-modern-fabulosity I have decided to abbreviate.  I present to you small, shiny and girl-tastic!  Can’t you just imagine a HUGE arrangement of white flowers on this, parked in front of my sofa?   *droooooooooool*
