Not “To-Do”… MUST DO!

April 25, 2008

OMG I am going to lose my mind if I don’t get something finished this weekend!  AAACCKK!

The Child is home, and that can be either a help or a hindrance.  What is definitely a hindrance is my broke ass!  I do have supplies to get some things accomplished, so here goes a list of what I can do based on what I have on hand…

Please pardon the liberal peppering of expletives.

  1. Finish painting that #$%^&*( 3′ square spot on the ceiling in the livingroom!
  2. Touch up the $%(*&^ walls and be done with it!
  3. White trim paint.  Is it that &*%)@(*& hard???
  4. Kitchen baseboards have been taped off for 3 weeks now. Perhaps they can be painted in the new gloss??
  5. Dismantle the desk hutch (I’m actually kind of proud of my quick progress on the desk)
  6. Paint desktop white, polyurethane topcoat?
  7. Recover desk chair in old curtains.  (They will live on! 🙂 )
  8. Drive over to BAS’s house and cut bamboo curtain rods, maybe talk her in to sewing some curtains.  I will lose my mind if I go another week with no curtains in my livingroom.
  9. Speaking of losing mind… RE-HANG THE LAMPS IN THE LIVINGROOM AND KILL THAT @(*$(&*(&%#*(&%& OVERHEAD LIGHT.
  10. (deep breath… center…. curse the overhead light!)
  11. Purge the bathroom
  12. Paint the étagère in the bathroom
  13. Have something pretty to post to one of my Flickr groups.  Waaa!

Damn, that’s kind of a lot, huh? The sad thing is that I think I’ll still be frustrated at the lack of progress 😦

All together now…. Emily’s bit off way more than she can chew!

  1. Oh honey – I feel your pain! And that IS a LIST that would cause anyone to curse!

But, if I can offer a bright spot, progress on your home will be happening up here in Seattle this very evening, carrying on through the weekend. So even if the child stops your flow, it will keep on moving (just a little out of sight).
