Evidence that my livingroom has done been Cured

May 9, 2008

Last night while watching some TV in the livingroom I looked at the clock and noticed that it was 11:30p.  I was, in British parlance, gobsmacked.

Not because it was late, but because I was watching TV in the livingroom

Since The Event That We No Longer Speak Of I have pretty much just gone to bed at 8:30p after tucking in Haley.  For two years now I have not used my livingroom at all absent other people.

But last night, after surveying the completed beauty of it all, I sat back on my beeee-yooo-tiful sofa and caught up with some programs on my trusty DVR.

Doesn’t seem like that monumentous of an event, but the girl who’s spent two years hiding in bed in the back room, just spent an evening alone in the front room.

Smiling.
