Weekend stories? Yeah, notsomuch

May 27, 2008

“Potential” was certainly there for an epic weekend, but living my life between two houses and a barn took a toll for sure.

Friday:  I went out with someone who (hopefully) is coming to the realization that her boyfriend is a gigantic douche.  Our mission:  drunkenness.  Mission accomplished, times two.  *Note to self:  when you have a cute doctor(!!!) eating out of the palm of your hand , GET HIS NUMBER you ridiculous idiot!

Saturday:  I took the Stinky Dustmop to Petsmart in San Mateo.  They transformed him in to the adorable Westie that he is.  Pity that I think his mom will cry any way when she sees him because he wasn’t hand-stripped according to breed ideals. 😦 Went home while he was getting prettified to hang out with the cat.  Back down to San Mateo, clean horse and stall, and on to Pac Heights.

Saturday Night:  Met a friend and went to Mezzanine for about 2 hours.  Made some new friends 🙂

Sunday:  Taught a couple lessons.  Went for a ride down to the beach only to discover about the highest tide EVER.  The horses were indicating that sea monsters were dangerously close, so we abandoned our 12 inch strip of sand for the trails that lead down to the water.  Returned to Chez Fancy-but-Faraway.

Monday:  Taught another lesson, picked up The Child, picked up the boxspring and again slept not in my own house.

Today after I pick up The Child we have to go out to the barn to take care of the horse, then back to Pac Heights to walk the dog and close the dog door (stinking raccoons) – THEN I get to go back to my life that only has one house in one neighborhood.

All this driving, eating out and dog grooming is getting stupid expensive.
