It’s Foam-tastic!

June 7, 2008

I hauled that beast of a box home, on the bus, during rush hour – and it only took a week.  (D’oh!)  If I’d looked at the box I might have seen the rather large orange sticker on the side that said “Must Open Within 72 hours”  Oops.

I was expecting it to slowly unroll itself and slowly regain it’s original pre-super squeezed condition (hopefully since I way overstepped my 72 hour allowance) and to emit all sorts of foul chemical odors.  I was so happy to be very wrong on both counts!  Within an hour it achieved ridiculous loft, and as soon as I opened the window, 90% of the smell was gone.

Two hours later I was all snugged in to bed.  Literally!  Tossing and turning is not an option on this beast.

I’m in loooooove!

I know they said it’d be 4″, but it looks like a beefy 4″ to me.  It’s getting seriously high up there in bed!  Kenai failed to account for the new height and barely clawed her way up – without one hint of grace or agility! 😀

  1. Do you think you are going to just love it??? I think the memory foam is just about the best thing to ever come out! I no longer have those little “sore” spots. I love it, love it, love it. Did I ever tell you how much I love my memory foam bed??!!?

  2. I do love it! But it’s totally different than a regular mattress. Right now I’m waking up because I can’t toss and turn – but I snuggle back in quickly.

Oddly, I seem to be better rested even when I end up not sleeping well! If nothing else it makes my insomnia much more restful 😉

  3. I’ll say! Made it about 20 minutes into “Sweeney Todd” before I passed out cold in that thing! VERY comfortable 🙂

  4. Well, Rae, you weren’t at the top of the list of people with whom I wanted to share my new bed with first… 😉

But that ain’t happening, um, maybe ever 😛 so I’m glad it was you and I’m glad you think it’s comfy, too! All the better to crash on after a drunken stumble home from the pub! HA!
