I think I smell a collection coming on!

September 8, 2008

I think I’ve only been a “collector” of one thing in my life – Breyer horses – and I kicked that habit around 1985.  I admire restrained collectors, like camragirl with her Fiestaware.  Alas, nothing has really inspired me to date.  (This is not a great source of distress for me, so worry not for my happiness 😀 )

Then last night I discovered mercury glass.  Oh my!  Loads of interesting new and vintage shiny things in a plethora of forms!  How have I not known of this wondrous stuff before now??

And best of all…  there is a huge market of vintage mercury glass Christmas decorations, like this garland!  Christmas!  Christmas!!!

It comes in many colors but, really, only one is the awesomest:  silver.

  1. So, is there a webpage you can offer so I do not have to find it myself?!?!

  2. Um, yeah… click the pics. You think I’d leave out the easy avenue of getting some? 😀

  3. Silly me!!!
