Countdown to Chr… NOPE… it’s not even Thanksgiving yet!

November 24, 2008

My office building is right next door to Embarcadero Center, and I think they forgot that we haven’t yet had Thanksgiving!  I understand that it takes a lot of time to put up the decorations but, c’mon…

Two vital events must happen before one can acknowledge the impending Yule time… Thanksgiving, and the gateway to Christmas, my birthday! 😀

  1. Emily, I’ll let you into a little secret with the Christmas decorations. It only takes a night or two to set them all up in a mall. The only reason for them being put up so early is that the mall might have a certain company that they prefer and they’d have to fit the installation into their schedule 😀

Is it thanksgiving on Thursday and your birthday on Sunday..?

  2. Either way, it’s totally uncool 😛 Premature decoration is a total kill-joy.

Thanksgiving on Thursday, birthday on Monday – but the party drops the following Friday night and will go in to Sunday (but will also include a kid thing on Saturday). Woo!

I guess at some point I’m supposed to start acting older. hehe

  3. You’re right it is totally uncool. For me the Christmas decorations should only go up from December 1st onwards.

Sounds like it’ll be a busy but very good weekend 😀 I don’t think you should start acting older, lol. You’re not old anyway 😀

  4. Surely my festivities will be logged here… but I am getting old. Old like dirt 😛 Old enough to know better – or something like that…

  5. Okay GRINCH! If you’re really that perturbed by christmas decorations, then whatever you do, don’t visit me at work. Btw, not only do we have hundreds of trees and decorations scattered everywhere, but THIS FRIDAY Santa will officially be in the building! Woooo Hoooo! I can’t help it that I’m a Christmas geek at heart 😀

  6. If you are as old as dirt…what in the hell does that make me??!!??

  7. Grinch? As if! I just want MY DAY before that fat bastard – I mean Santa – takes all the glory!

Mom, that makes you dirt’s mother 😀
