… comes in threes

December 13, 2010

You know how people say that bad things come in threes? Good things can come in threes, too.

1. Lights

When I arrived home last night to find this masterpiece, created by The Man, I was overcome with absolute joy! My almost-nonexistent inner child leapt and cavorted about with unbridled glee!

2. Tights

While quite pedestrian for most, the wearing of colored tights is a real fashion stretch for me. They make me happy. I may make tights my winter signature this year.

I also managed to get out the door this morning wearing perfume and thoughtfully picked out jewelry!

3. Fights (or lack thereof)

The Child and I had a genuine, productive discussion last night about buckling down, staying on task, and meeting academic expectations. I didn’t raise my voice. I didn’t feel like I was nagging her. She was listening. She participated in an authentic dialog. Afterwords she settled in and got some very good work done.

That totally makes the fact that The Dog has fleas from all his digging in the sand much easier to tolerate 😛

  1. The Man is handling the flea problem. You did look tasty today.

    • You’re the bestest!
